Working directly alongside operators and technicians in a high-mix, low-volume environment, this role will restore production flow, eliminate recurring defects, and drive consistent, repeatable assembly-cell performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly Cell Troubleshooting:Provide daily, hands-on support to resolve production interruptions, assembly defects, and test failures. Work alongside operators and technicians to reproduce failures and resolve issues at the point of assembly.
  • Root-Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:Lead structured root-cause analysis of defects, recurring failures, and process variation. Implement corrective actions and verify that they prevent recurrence. Support production testing and validation of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Process Improvement:Identify and eliminate sources of rework, waste, downtime, and disrupted flow. Use production, test, and quality data to prioritize improvements and verify results (first-pass yield, rework, downtime). Support new product introduction, product transfers, and engineering changes into production.
  • Standard Work and Training:Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Coach operators and technicians to strengthen the site’s troubleshooting capability. Partner closely with production, quality, design engineering, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience:Hands-on experience supporting assembly cells or a live manufacturing environment. Working experience with electronic components, electromechanical assemblies, sensors, or controls. Proven use of structured root-cause analysis to resolve production issues and sustain improvements.
  • Technical Skills:Basic PCBA skills: component identification, visual defect recognition, multimeter checks, and ESD handling. Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and test procedures. Practical electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Soft Skills:Practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment. Strong communication and documentation skills. Collaborative across production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Preferred:2–5 years in manufacturing, production, test, or electrical engineering. PCBA board-level troubleshooting experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, standard work, ERP/MES systems, and instrumentation or sensing products.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
