about the company Our client is a global leader in energy resilience and power solutions. We are seeking an Application Engineer to drive our pre-sales engineering and custom power solutions.

about the job

  • Pre-Sales Technical Support & Tender Management: Drive technical pre-sales support for dealers, distributors, and customers by evaluating Request for Quotations (RFQs) and ensuring proposed solutions align perfectly with tender specifications and local regulatory standards.
  • Site Surveys & Feasibility Studies: Conduct on-site surveys and comprehensive feasibility studies alongside the engineering team to formulate alternative solutions, address specification deviations, and assist with complex integration proposals.
  • Custom Equipment & Design Consultation: Assess requests for non-standard generator sets to confirm both commercial and technical viability. Guide client discussions to influence specification adjustments, particularly regarding installation designs for fuel supply and exhaust systems.
  • Cost Estimation & Quotations: Formulate accurate project cost estimates covering M&E works and non-standard equipment, partnering with senior engineers to generate competitive quotations that empower the sales team to achieve organisational targets.
  • Vendor Collaboration & Compliance: Collaborate closely with supporting vendors and the supply chain team during the pre-sales development phase for custom systems, while ensuring the continuous upkeep of relevant ISO quality standards.

skills and experience required

  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant technical solution expertise
  • Technical knowledge in Engines or Genset
