Purpose The Southeast Automotive Business Development Manager role is responsible for driving new business development and volume growth for the Automotive business leveraging your extensive network of transplant automakers (BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai Kia, Toyota, VW), tiers, and molders. It encompasses managing tactical sales activity as well as cultivating strategic relationships with key stakeholders of the business (e.g., customers, suppliers). Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Managing pipeline process by collaborating with Commercial Director, Product Management and Strategic Suppliers Joint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and establish strong working-level and executive relationships with customers and suppliers Drive growth strategy by delivering value for the customer and business
Essential Tasks:
Developing and executing sales strategy for assigned territory in collaboration with Commercial Director Prospecting and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth for the automotive portfolio; this includes travel to participate in customer meetings Collaborating with Technical Service to position materials which best meet customer needs Coordinating with Technical Service to support customer needs (e.g., new business, quality needs, approvals, etc.) Utilizing CRM tools to ensure pipeline is updated, robust and sustainable Work with Commercial Director, Product Manager and key stakeholders to increase product exposure and depth

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
Education:
Bachelors degree or related training. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Proven experience with 5+ years of experience in selling, brand management and strategy development in automotive preferred
Licenses / Certifications:
Valid driver’s license – required
Language:
Proficiency in English required Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
