Restaurant Brands International Inc. is one of the world's largest quick service restaurant companies with nearly $45 billion in annual system-wide sales and over 32,000 restaurants in more than 120 countries and territories.
RBI owns four of the world's most prominent and iconic quick service restaurant brands – TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. These independently operated brands have been serving their respective guests, franchisees and communities for decades. RBI is committed to growing the TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES® and FIREHOUSE SUBS® brands by leveraging their respective core values, employee and franchisee relationships, and long track records of community support. Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc.
We are seeking a hands-on Manager, Business Intelligence to build and own the data foundation behind the Tim Hortons US Marketing Analytics team: the certified datasets, canonical metric definitions, data quality monitoring, and reusable workflows the team relies on to analyze sales, pricing, guests, and media. This role is Marketing Analytics’ technical bridge to Data Engineering, translating analyst needs into technical specifications and moving datasets from prototype into the Marketing Analytics production schema.
The Manager will also lead practical AI adoption within the team, staying current on Claude, ChatGPT, and relevant integrations and automation solutions. This includes identifying useful capabilities, evaluating their effectiveness, introducing repeatable workflows, and helping team members incorporate them into their daily work. This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics. It is not a primary analyst role; the focus is building and owning the foundation that the rest of the team’s analysis runs on.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Miami, FL.
What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain SQL-based datasets/tables in Snowflake — including the underlying transformation logic, testing, and documentation — that support performance analysis, sales forecasting, pricing, and guest intelligence use cases
- Support creation of dashboards and recurring reports using platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI or custom HTMLs to track/forecast sales, traffic, guest metrics, pricing, and media KPIs.
- Maintain underlying infrastructure and accessibility for Marketing Analytics data products (e.g., pricing database, ticket data, customer loyalty segmentation) alongside the Senior Manager and cross-functional partners.
- Integrate data and algorithms from internal systems and third-party vendors (POS, loyalty, media, syndicated data) into a consistent, analytics-ready data layer.
- Translate requests from Marketing Analytics and cross-functional marketing teams into clear reporting requirements and practical BI solutions.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact with Data Engineering/IT for reporting and data access needs, documenting business requirements, translating needs into technical specifications, and coordinating priorities.
- Partner with Marketing Analytics and cross-functional marketing teams to translate reporting needs into automated, scalable tools and solutions
- Help marketing team and stakeholders use dashboards, reporting tools, and AI capabilities effectively.
- Stay current on Claude, ChatGPT, and relevant AI integrations and automation solutions, recommending practical applications that improve productivity and reporting quality.
- Pilot and introduce approved AI tools and reusable workflows, validate outputs for accuracy, and support adoption through demonstrations, training, and documentation.
- Ensure consistent data definitions, reporting and application of business logic across tools used and developed by Marketing Analytics
- Organize and maintain a catalog of dashboards, reporting resources, AI workflows, data dictionaries and data source documentation (e.g., using Confluence, GitHub)
- Establish data quality checks, validation rules, and alerts for reporting tools and data
- Own troubleshooting and resolution of data/reporting issues, coordinating with data owners or technology partners as needed
What You'll Need To Succeed:
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or engineering support.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Relevant BI platform or applied AI training and certifications are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake experience required); dbt experience a plus.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau, Sigma, Power BI or HTML.
- Experience evaluating or configuring AI integrations or workflow orchestration and Python and/or R a plus.
- Demonstrated practical experience using AI tools to improve business or analytics workflows
- Experience in QSR, food & beverage, retail, or other consumer-facing industries preferred.
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills; comfortable owning pipelines end-to-end.
- Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into technical specifications and automated workflows.
- Ability to evaluate emerging AI capabilities and identify useful applications
- Strong prompting skills and judgment in reviewing AI-generated outputs
- A proactive approach to identifying improvements and bringing recommendations through testing and adoption.
- Clear communicator, able to work with both technical (engineering) and non-technical (marketing) stakeholders.
- Self-starter who can prioritize across multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ownership mindset toward data reliability, quality, and documentation.
