Bei Reifenhäuser NEXT bauen wir das „ChatGPT für Extrusion“. Mit NEXT AI, NEXT Learning und NEXT Data bringen wir KI, Daten und Software direkt in die Produktion – damit Extrusionsanlagen effizienter, nachhaltiger und automatisierbarer werden.

Dafür brauchen wir Backend-Systeme, die nicht nur funktionieren, sondern performant, robust und skalierbar sind. Genau hier kommst du ins Spiel.

Als Kotlin Developer (m/w/d) arbeitest du an der Schnittstelle zwischen Maschine, Daten und AI. Du entwickelst die Backend-Systeme, auf denen unsere intelligenten Produkte laufen – gemeinsam mit Software Engineers, AI Engineers und Product Management.

Wir bauen keine Demo, die nach drei Monaten wieder verschwindet. Unsere Software läuft dort, wo Maschinen produzieren, Daten entstehen und Stillstand Geld kostet. Das bedeutet echte technische Herausforderungen: große Datenmengen, zuverlässige Maschinenanbindung und KI-Funktionen, die in produktiven Systemen funktionieren müssen.

Deine Aufgaben bei uns

  • Du entwickelst Backend-Services mit Kotlin und einem modernen Stack aus Ktor, Arrow und Apollo GraphQL
  • Du entwickelst REST- und GraphQL-APIs und integrierst Daten aus Maschinen, Services und weiteren Quellen
  • Du arbeitest mit PostgreSQL und TimescaleDB und verarbeitest industrielle Zeitreihen und große Datenmengen
  • Du integrierst KI- und Machine-Learning-Funktionen in produktive Softwaresysteme
  • Du sorgst für Performance, Stabilität, Observability und Skalierbarkeit unserer Anwendungen
  • Du schreibst sauberen, testbaren Code, beteiligst dich an Code Reviews und bringst dich aktiv in Architekturentscheidungen ein

Das wünschen wir uns von dir

  • Erfahrung in der professionellen Kotlin-Entwicklung und Vertrautheit mit den Konzepten der funktionalen Programmierung
  • Praxiserfahrung mit REST & GraphQL APIs sowie mit relationalen Datenbanken, idealerweise mit PostgreSQL und TimescaleDB
  • Erfahrung mit Git, CI/CD-Prozessen sowie Unit- und Integrationstests
  • Freude daran, technische Probleme wirklich zu verstehen und gemeinsam im Team zu lösen
  • Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse

Nicht alles davon musst du mitbringen. Aber wir freuen uns besonders über Menschen, die gerne über den Tellerrand schauen und technisch breit aufgestellt sind:

  • Linux, insbesondere NixOS
  • Rust, Elixir, Ruby
  • React, TypeScript
  • Erfahrung mit AI-, Machine-Learning- oder Datenplattformen
  • Interesse an Industrial IoT und Edge Computing
