We are currently looking for a motivated leader to step into a Maintenance Team Lead role to ensure our high standards of quality and efficiency are met every day.

Job Description Barber Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Maintenance Technician Team Lead to join our team in Holland. This is a critical role that combines hands-on maintenance work with shop leadership. You will be responsible for performing light maintenance services while helping to oversee the flow and quality of our maintenance department. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in automotive service and the leadership qualities necessary to help a team succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type ● Full-time

Schedule ● Monday through Friday ● Rotating Saturdays ● No Sundays

Pay $21.00 per hour.

Work Requirements ● Active Driver’s License is a requirement. ● Ability to commute to Holland, MI. ● Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. ● Previous experience in automotive maintenance (oil changes, tires, light repair).

Responsibilities ● Lead by Example: Perform high-quality light maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point safety inspections. ● Team Oversight: Assist in managing the workflow of the maintenance department to ensure timely completion of services. ● Quality Control: Verify that all maintenance work meets Barber Ford and manufacturer standards. ● Training: Assist in the development of junior technicians, ensuring they follow proper procedures and safety protocols. ● Communication: Work closely with Service Advisors to provide accurate vehicle status updates and maintenance recommendations. ● Shop Standards: Ensure the maintenance bays are kept clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications ● Experience: Proven experience changing oil and performing light maintenance on vehicles is required. ● Certifications: Bonus points if you are Ford STARS certified or have previous Ford Dealership experience. ● Strong mechanical aptitude and a "fixed right the first time" mentality. ● Leadership potential with excellent communication and organizational skills. ● Reliability and a strong professional work ethic.
