About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Cycle Counter to support an end-of-year inventory counting initiative.

In this role, you’ll physically count and verify company-issued hardware, ensuring inventory quantities and item details match system records. You’ll use inventory management software, barcode scanners, and handheld devices to record counts, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory data.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, comfortable working in a warehouse or stockroom environment, and able to follow established procedures while working independently.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate can follow inventory procedures, use scanning devices and inventory software, and promptly report discrepancies to help maintain reliable inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Identification and Counting

  • Review assigned count lists, storage locations, and part or asset numbers in the cycle counting system.
  • Locate inventory items and verify part numbers, serial numbers, and asset tags against count sheets.
  • Physically count inventory and accurately record quantities and locations in the inventory system.
  • Scan barcodes and serial numbers whenever possible.

Discrepancy Resolution

  • Recount items when physical quantities do not match system records.
  • Document inventory discrepancies and escalate unresolved variances to the inventory lead.
  • Ensure completed counts are recorded accurately and consistently.

Inventory Organization

  • Return items to their designated storage locations after counting.
  • Maintain organized counting areas.
  • Clearly mark completed areas to prevent duplicate or missed counts.

Safety, Security, and Reporting

  • Handle controlled or sensitive hardware according to applicable company security, access, and safety procedures.
  • Provide daily updates on completed counts, outstanding discrepancies, and issues affecting progress.
  • Follow established procedures to support the timely completion of the inventory initiative.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Comfort using barcode scanners, handheld devices, and inventory management software.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and work independently.
  • Ability to comply with applicable work authorization, facility access, and security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, warehousing, or stockroom operations.
  • Experience verifying part numbers, serial numbers, asset tags, and inventory quantities.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning and inventory tracking systems.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
