Redwood Strategy Group is searching for multiple Senior Consultant will support the identification, analysis, and remediation of dormant accounts by conducting detailed research, performing data analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to validate account activity and account balances. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings and recommendations to project leadership and client personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of dormant accounts to determine validity, ownership, and required corrective actions.
- Review financial transactions, supporting documentation, and system records to identify root causes of dormant account balances.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools, reports, and documentation related to account research efforts.
- Coordinate with business process owners, accounting teams, and system stakeholders to obtain supporting information and resolve outstanding issues.
- Prepare summaries, recommendations, and briefing materials for management review.
- Support audit readiness activities by ensuring research and documentation are complete, accurate, and traceable.
- Assist in the development and implementation of remediation strategies for dormant account balances.
Experience Required
- Experience working within GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System). Familiarity with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes, reconciliations, and account research activities. Experience researching and resolving Undelivered Orders (UDO) and Unfilled Customer Orders (UFCO) balances, including identifying aging items and supporting remediation efforts. Familiarity with U.S. Federal Government financial management processes and systems. Experience supporting audit remediation, financial statement audits, or account reconciliation efforts. Knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting requirements, and audit readiness activities. Experience analyzing large datasets and leveraging financial systems to support account validation and corrective action recommendations.
Education/Certifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a directly related field (a Master’s in one of these fields may substitute if the undergraduate degree is not related).
