Description

We are seeking a Counsel to join the Entertainment and Media Team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on legal and commercial matters relating to digital media, music, film, television, and content distribution.
  • Lead the negotiation and management of complex, multi-jurisdictional music licensing and content exploitation arrangements.
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence in connection with corporate transactions, identifying risks and providing practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to clients ranging from innovative start-ups to multinational media and technology companies.
  • Advise financiers, lenders, and investors on the financing and refinancing of film and television productions.
  • Support production companies, studios, and content owners on the development, production, and distribution of television and media projects.
  • Deliver training and thought leadership to clients on entertainment finance, intellectual property, and media-related legal developments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across international offices on cross-border transactions and industry initiatives.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong experience advising clients in the entertainment, media, technology, or intellectual property sectors.
  • Experience handling complex commercial transactions and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent drafting, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A practical and commercially focused approach to legal problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas.
