What you will be doing

A Bar Lead is an experienced, guest-facing bartender who leads day-to-day service from behind the bar — setting the pace, upholding drink and service standards, and mentoring other bartenders and barbacks during a shift. The role is hands-on and focused on shift leadership.

  • Shift Leadership: Leads pre-shift briefings, assigns bar stations, and acts as the point person behind the bar during service, keeping pace during high-volume periods and resolving day-to-day issues in real time.
  • Bartending and Quality Control: Prepares and serves drinks to recipe and presentation standards, and monitors that other bartenders are following recipe, portion, and garnish guidelines consistently.
  • Training and Mentorship: Trains new bartenders and barbacks on drink recipes, POS procedures, and service standards; provides on-shift coaching and feedback and supports onboarding alongside the Restaurant Manager.
  • Inventory Support: Monitors par levels, checks in deliveries, rotates stock, and flags shortages or waste to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Completes EOM inventory counts for all liquor, beer & wine.
  • Compliance and Safety: Verifies IDs and ensures responsible alcohol service, and maintains bar cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in line with health regulations and hotel policy.
  • Guest Service: Engages with guests, resolves routine service issues and complaints on the floor, and escalates larger concerns to the Restaurant Manager, Director of F&B or Manager on Duty.
  • Administrative Support: Assists with shift-level tasks such as opening/closing checklists.
  • Efficiently maintain bar supplies, including preparation of daily requisition, as necessary.
  • Must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware used for each recipe, as well as garnishes needed.
  • Know drink recipes, prices and type of beverages available.
  • Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures and tip policies. Responsible for accurately charging the guests for drinks. Responsible for accurate intake of all the monies.
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction.
  • Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
