Cook – What You'll Be Doing

We're looking for a dependable, motivated Cook to join our Food & Beverage team! In this hands-on role, you'll prepare and cook delicious, high-quality meals for our hotel guests and restaurant patrons while maintaining the consistency, presentation, and service standards our guests expect.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Complete daily food preparation, stocking, and station setup to ensure smooth meal service.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, proper storage, labeling, and temperature controls.
  • Assist with inventory management, portion control, and minimizing food waste.
  • Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, and fellow kitchen associates to deliver timely, accurate orders.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
  • Remain flexible and assist with other kitchen duties as needed to support daily operations.

What to Expect:

This is an active, fast-paced kitchen position requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, and working around hot equipment. Associates must be able to safely lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment as required by the position. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability may be necessary based on business demands.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and understands that great food starts with consistency, attention to detail, and a clean kitchen.

Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple orders and priorities.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and safely lift and carry supplies and equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Food Handler Certification or ServSafe certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
