The posting

Resend is growing fast, and there are now over 4 million developers using it. We’re building tools that make email better for developers. We care about dependable infrastructure, thoughtful design, and the experience of everyone building with our products.

On our DevTools Squad, you’ll work across our SDKs, React Email, CLI, MCP, and integrations, alongside the backend services that support them. Your work will help developers build within their existing workflows, understand failures, and confidently depend on Resend as their applications grow.

This role is fully remote based in Americas or European timezones, with some expected travel for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and more.

Read more about how we work, how we hire, and what we value here https://resend.com/handbook.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL…

- Build and maintain developer tools that make Resend easy to integrate with across languages, frameworks, and environments

- Build and operate services that support our developer tools and integrations

- Collaborate with product squads on clear API contracts and consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI, MCP, and documentation

- Build the interfaces developers and agents use to work with Resend, such as MCP, skills, and the CLI

- Take care of compatibility, testing, releases, and upgrades so developers can depend on what we ship

- Build shared tooling that helps other squads ship changes across our developer tools confidently

- Work directly with developers through support, GitHub issues, and pull requests

YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

- Have strong backend engineering experience, including building and maintaining APIs or services in production.

- Are experienced in TypeScript and Node.js

- Understand authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and partial failures

- Have built software that other developers depend on and understand the responsibility of maintaining it

- Care about interface design, clear errors, useful documentation, and backward compatibility

- Think about agents as users of a product, with their own needs for discovery and security

- Can take an ambiguous problem, propose a focused solution, and follow through after release

- Communicate clearly, welcome feedback, and take ownership while working closely with others

YOU WILL BE AN EXCEPTIONAL FIT IF YOU ALSO...

- Have maintained an open source project or worked closely with external contributors

- Have built SDKs, command-line tools, MCP servers, or integrations between platforms

- Have experience with React or frontend build tooling

- Have built and operated systems with queues, monitoring, and error recovery

- Have worked across multiple programming languages and understand what makes a library feel natural in each

- Have experience with email development or a strong interest in learning the space

WHAT IT MEANS TO JOIN THE TEAM:

- Room to shape technical decisions and take projects from discovery through production

- Work remotely with teammates around the world

- Close collaboration with the developers who use what you build

- Teammates who value thoughtful feedback, shared learning, and care for each other

- A high bar for product quality, reliability, and the details that make software enjoyable to use

- Comp: $130,000 - $160,000 USD, commensurate with location and experience

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
