Outdoor Performance is focused on putting the consumer first, leading with our power brands, and investing in the capabilities that drive sustainable growth. This role plays an important part in translating those priorities into engaging, high-performing ecommerce experiences.

The Ecommerce Merchandiser is responsible for the day-to-day merchandising and optimization of ecommerce sites across multiple brands, ensuring that consumers can easily discover, understand, and purchase the products that best meet their needs. This role serves as a key connection point between brand strategy, product, creative, digital marketing, and ecommerce operations.

The ideal candidate brings a consumer-first mindset, strong merchandising instincts, an eye for compelling digital storytelling, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. They will curate and optimize site content, product presentation, navigation, promotions, and onsite experiences to improve engagement, conversion, and overall customer experience.

Working closely with creative, digital marketing, ecommerce operations, and cross-functional brand teams, the Ecommerce Merchandiser will continuously identify opportunities to improve the online experience, leverage ecommerce tools and analytics, and ensure each brand’s digital presence reflects its unique consumer, products, and positioning.

Success in this role requires someone who can balance brand storytelling with commercial performance—creating digital experiences that inspire outdoor enthusiasts while making it easy for consumers to find and purchase the right products.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising and is based onsite in our Bozeman, MT office.

As the Ecommerce Merchandiser, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Drive ecommerce merchandising across multiple brand websites, using consumer insights, brand direction, product priorities, and performance data to optimize product placement, navigation, collections, promotions, and the overall shopping experience.
  • Own onsite content management, ensuring product listings, descriptions, imagery, videos, recipes, educational content, UGC, and other digital content are accurate, compelling, current, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Optimize the consumer journey by identifying opportunities to improve site navigation, product discovery, content, and onsite experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute onsite merchandising strategies that balance brand storytelling with commercial objectives and make it easy for consumers to discover, understand, and purchase products.
  • Analyze site performance and consumer behavior, monitoring key metrics including conversion rate, consumer flow, time on site, bounce rate, site health, and organic traffic to identify opportunities and inform merchandising decisions.
  • Leverage SEO best practices to improve organic visibility, accessibility, and product discoverability, including keyword research, content optimization, metadata, and ongoing site health.
  • Partner with Creative, Content, Product Management, and Marketing teams to develop and activate compelling digital assets, product stories, campaigns, promotions, banners, imagery, and video that enhance the online consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce Operations and Digital teams to support website development, UX/UI enhancements, functionality improvements, and ongoing site optimization.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce merchandising, website merchandising, digital commerce, or a related role.
  • Proficiency with ecommerce and digital content platforms, including ecommerce platforms, Content Management Systems (CMS), Product Information Management (PIM), and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salsify is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research, content optimization, product discoverability, and site health.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret ecommerce performance data, identify trends and opportunities, and translate insights into actionable merchandising decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy across high volumes of products, content, and digital assets.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve website and content issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong content and copywriting skills, with the ability to create and edit clear, compelling, consumer-focused digital content.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Creative, Marketing, Product, Ecommerce Operations, and other business partners.
  • Consumer-first mindset with a passion for creating intuitive, engaging digital experiences and improving the online shopping journey.

You Might Have:

  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salsify, or similar ecommerce and PIM platforms.
  • Experience with ecommerce analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to use data to optimize conversion, product discovery, and customer engagement.
  • Experience with A/B testing, personalization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
