About the Team Our Community Health stream at RFDS WA delivers medical, dental, mental health and other health services across regional and remote WA through outreach clinics, client sites, fixed-site medical centres and community-based programs. About the role The Clinical Lead, Community and Industrial Health is a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) opportunity based in Jandakot, providing clinical leadership, governance and expert advice across Community Health and Industrial Health services. As one of two Clinical Leads, you will provide clinical oversight of the Medical Chest Program, lead medicines and poisons governance activities, and support the delivery of industrial health services to major resource and energy sector clients operating throughout regional and remote Western Australia Responsibilities:
Provide professional clinical leadership and governance, supporting clinicians through mentoring, supervision and clinical capability development. Lead clinical governance, quality improvement, audit, accreditation and medicines management activities, including acting as the Poisons Permit Holder, maintaining oversight of scheduled medicines governance, and providing clinical leadership for the Medical Chest Program. Provide subject matter expertise in industrial health, occupational health and remote workforce health, contributing to service development, client partnerships, workforce capability and new business opportunities. Occasional travel to regional and industrial sites when required.
About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner, with Postgraduate Fellowship, e.g. FRACGP/FACRRM/FACEM or other (desirable). Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, risk management, NSQHS Standards and AGPAL accreditation. Proven ability to mentor, coach and support multidisciplinary clinical teams. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to provide expert clinical advice across diverse healthcare settings. Experience in rural, remote, industrial or resource-sector health services, with demonstrated knowledge of primary health care, occupational health, fitness for work, medicines and poisons governance, and workplace health programs will be highly regarded.
