Known for our honesty, resilience, and team spirit, we work closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes — and foster a rewarding culture for our people.

As demand grows, we’re seeking an experienced Survey Superintendent to join our team. You’ll play a crucial role in leading and overseeing survey operations within the organisation.

To be a contributing and effective member of our team we will expect you to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams
  • Strong understanding of client and stakeholder engagement, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of HSE systems and their application in survey operations
  • A passion for technology and working with state-of-the-art survey equipment

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate survey teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Plan and oversee survey activities, including resource allocation, field operations, and project scheduling
  • Manage survey data, control networks, QA/QC processes, and technical deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting issues and supporting construction and machine control requirements
  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and deployment of survey equipment, vehicles, and project assets
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, cultural and project requirements while promoting a strong safety culture
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, provide project updates, and mentor team members to support professional development

Job benefits

At McDonald Surveys and Railtrain Holdings Group, you’ll be part of a national organisation with a local feel. You’ll be supported by managers who lead from the front and work alongside a team that’s focused on success. In return, you can expect:

  • A safety-first, team-driven culture where your efforts are genuinely recognised
  • Simple mobile onboarding to get you job-ready fast
  • Ongoing development and access to high-quality training facilities
  • Railtrain Rewards discounts on everyday products, services, and utilities

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
