JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the Building/Grounds manager in performing complex maintenance and repair tasks on all buildings and facilities at Sandhill REC. Operates and assists with maintaining heavy equipment for management of grounds and facilities. Assist with overall management of agriculture and natural resources operations at Sandhill REC. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Performs complex maintenance and repair tasks in such areas as carpentry, masonry, electricity, HVAC, roof, plumbing and boiler operation. Makes emergency and general repairs and adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work. Maintains outbuildings, field facilities, storage sheds, office areas.

10% - Assist with overall management of agriculture research and extension functions.

10% - Responsible for cleaning main office facilities, all meeting space at Sandhill REC as determined by supervisor. Other duties as assigned directly related to the mission of Sandhill REC

40% - Operates heavy and light equipment and responsible for maintenance of all areas of the grounds such as grass cutting, limb and tree trimming and removal, trash pickup , road grading etc.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent and formal training or trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Expected Salary Range
65000 - 75000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Emergency Response - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is required to respond in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on call.
