The posting

The story of Cartier is founded on audacity and passion. For more than 170 years we have embraced a bold, pioneering spirit that continues to inspire our teams across all Métiers from our boutiques to our workshops and corporate offices. Our 9000+ colleagues of 105 nationalities are united by a shared independent spirit and commitment to excellence, striving to continuously enrich our Maison’s heritage by pushing the boundaries of creativity.

YOUR MISSION: To support the Head of Wholesale & Merchandising in driving the commercial performance, operational excellence, and retail execution of Cartier’s watches wholesale network across India. The role will monitor commercial targets, strengthen Watches Point of Sale (WPOS) performance, coordinate with wholesale partners, and develop sales team capabilities through structured training and consistent implementation of Maison standards.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? Commercial Performance & Target Management

  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sell-in and sell-out performance against agreed targets across all wholesale partners and WPOS.
  • Analyse performance by partner, POS, collection, product category, and key commercial KPIs; identify gaps, risks, and growth opportunities.
  • Track ASP, precious and high-end watch contribution, like-for-like growth, and sales productivity; recommend corrective actions.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, target allocations, partner reviews, and management presentations.

WPOS Operations & Retail Excellence

  • Drive consistent execution of Cartier retail guidelines, visual merchandising standards, brand presentation, and client experience practices.
  • Conduct regular POS visits and reviews covering sales performance, product availability, staffing, display, and operational compliance.
  • Maintain an action tracker, follow up on execution gaps, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate operational readiness for approved POS openings, renovations, and relocations against agreed timelines and standards.

Wholesale Partner Management

  • Maintain regular engagement with wholesale partners, store managers, and POS teams to execute agreed business plans.
  • Coordinate targets, forecasts, product allocations, events, commercial initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Track partner commitments and follow up on action points; escalate significant risks and issues to the Head of Wholesale & Merchandising.
  • Support approved partner incentive programmes and sales campaigns, ensuring compliance with Maison approvals and guidelines.

Training & Sales Capability

  • Plan and coordinate product, collection, selling-skills, client experience, and watchmaking training for partner sales teams.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees and teams ahead of POS openings.
  • Ensure teams can communicate Cartier collection stories, iconic references, precious watches, and high-end watchmaking effectively.
  • Track training completion and effectiveness through store visits, feedback, and sales performance.

Merchandising & Stock Coordination

  • Coordinate with merchandising, supply chain, and wholesale teams to support appropriate product availability and assortment execution.
  • Monitor stock availability, assortment gaps, stock cover, ageing inventory, and slow-moving references; recommend corrective actions.
  • Support implementation of assortment guidelines, allocation priorities, replenishment, and product launches.
  • Monitor compliance with agreed stock and consignment policies, including stock audits and partner follow-up.

Reporting & Business Analytics

  • Track sell-in, sell-out, ASP, product mix, POS productivity, stock productivity, and other agreed KPIs.
  • Analyze variances versus budget and last year, explain key business drivers, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain centralized trackers for POS performance, training, operational issues, openings, and action plans.

Client Experience & Brand Compliance

  • Drive implementation of Cartier client experience standards and agreed client registration and Cartier Care KPIs.
  • Ensure approved brand assets, Maison guidelines, and commercial procedures are followed; escalate significant compliance concerns.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Training, Customer Service, Retail, and other relevant teams to resolve operational requirements.
  • Follow up on orders, shipments, stock availability, and partner issues with the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Support approved marketing activities, in-store events, launches, and communication of commercial priorities to partners.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Approximately 5-8 years of experience in luxury watches, premium retail, wholesale, or luxury brand management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline; an MBA is an advantage.
  • Experience working with wholesale accounts, multi-brand retail environments, or a network of points of sale.
  • Understanding of commercial planning, sales performance management, retail operations, and merchandising fundamentals.
  • Experience with targets, forecasting, business analytics, and performance dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SAP, CRM, or business intelligence tools is an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
