JOB DESCRIPTION

MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY AND THE ABILITY TO WORK MORNINGS/AFTERNOONS ON WEEKDAYS. We are currently hiring for both Wheeling locations (310 N Milwaukee Ave & 1820 E Hintz Rd).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  • The Shift Lead is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and assisting the Store Manager in a variety of store operations duties
  • This position serves as a role model of barista responsibilities and serves as the team leader when the Store Manager is unavailable
  • Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooter's "Amazing" customer service experience
  • Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush
  • Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance
  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales
  • Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner
  • Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure that all shifts are covered, especially in emergency situations
  • Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability
  • Assist Store Managers with administrative duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years or older to apply

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Energetic, fast-paced, flexible work style

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude while maintaining a guest focused mentality

• Willingness to learn and embrace change

• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and administrative skills

• Ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs

• Customer service experience preferred, but not required
