The posting

Are you a Software Architect looking to take ownership of complex technical challenges and help shape the evolution of a financial services platform? As a Senior Software Architect, you will work closely with development teams, infrastructure specialists, and client stakeholders to understand existing systems, identify architectural risks and technical debt, and define pragmatic solutions that support both current business needs and long-term modernization.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. The ideal candidate combines strong software architecture experience with the ability to independently investigate existing applications and infrastructure, troubleshoot complex technical and production issues, make sound architectural decisions, and turn recommendations into actionable plans.

We are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership and initiative who can quickly understand a complex existing ecosystem, proactively identify areas requiring attention, and confidently communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs to both technical teams and client stakeholders.

/ Responsibilities ● Assess the current software and cloud architecture and identify opportunities for improvement, modernization, simplification, and technical debt reduction. ● Define and drive architectural decisions and technical roadmaps aligned with business and engineering priorities. ● Provide hands-on technical leadership across application architecture, cloud infrastructure, integrations, DevOps practices, and production reliability. ● Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and client teams in a collaborative Agile environment. ● Independently investigate complex technical and production issues, identify root causes, and recommend both immediate and systemic solutions. ● Identify architectural risks, configuration drift, obsolete components, scalability concerns, security risks, and other areas requiring technical attention. ● Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and recommend pragmatic modernization strategies when appropriate. ● Provide architectural guidance for cloud-native, containerized, Kubernetes, and serverless solutions. ● Review Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, deployment, and environment-management practices to promote consistency and reliability across environments. ● Provide architectural guidance for APIs, third-party integrations, asynchronous processes, file-processing workflows, and other integration patterns. ● Establish and promote software architecture and engineering standards across teams and repositories. ● Work directly with client technical leadership to understand their needs, communicate findings, and propose solutions. ● Clearly communicate complex technical problems, architectural decisions, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. ● Assess the business and operational impact of technical decisions. ● Coach and mentor engineers on architecture, design patterns, development practices, and technical problem-solving. ● Proactively identify and take ownership of technical initiatives without requiring detailed direction. ● Balance long-term architectural quality with pragmatic delivery needs while actively managing technical debt.

/ Requirements Technical Skills ● 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with proven experience in software architecture or technical leadership roles. ● Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# and modern backend architectures. ● Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based architectures. ● Experience with Kubernetes / AKS, Docker, and containerized applications. ● Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform. ● Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, serverless architectures, or comparable cloud-native technologies. ● Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices. ● Solid understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). ● Experience designing and troubleshooting distributed systems, REST APIs, third-party integrations, and asynchronous/background processes. ● Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, secrets management, and environment configuration. ● Experience with production troubleshooting, logging, monitoring, observability, performance, and system reliability. ● Ability to analyze and understand existing applications, repositories, infrastructure, and architecture with limited existing documentation. ● Ability to move comfortably between high-level architecture discussions and hands-on technical investigation. ● Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities. ● Experience defining technical roadmaps and translating architectural recommendations into actionable engineering initiatives. ● Experience working directly with clients and senior technical stakeholders. ● Experience in banking, lending, fintech, or another regulated industry is highly desirable.

Soft Skills ● Strong sense of ownership and accountability. ● Highly proactive and self-directed. ● Ability to identify problems and opportunities without waiting for detailed direction. ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ● Able to effectively collaborate with engineering, business, and client teams. ● Comfortable challenging existing technical decisions constructively when evidence supports a different approach. ● Pragmatic decision-maker who can balance architecture quality, business priorities, risk, cost, and delivery timelines. ● Strong organizational and prioritization skills. ● Leadership and mentoring capabilities. ● Team player with strong interpersonal skills. ● Advanced English level.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
