As a Node.js Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-performance applications using the latest Node.js technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Node.js and JavaScript technologies, experience with agile development methodologies, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills. / Responsibilities ● Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in a horizontally scaled, microservices-based architecture. ● Define and implement transactional flows across multiple microservices, handling consistency, failures, and retries. ● Learn the client's business model in depth and build a solid relationship of trust with client stakeholders. ● Own features and projects end to end, from technical design and estimation through delivery and production support. ● Write high-quality, well-tested code that follows our coding standards and best practices. ● Analyze complex problems, troubleshoot production issues, and make informed technical decisions. ● Collaborate with engineers, product, QA, and business partners, and communicate effectively with managers and engineers alike.

/ Requirements Technical Skills ● 5+ years of software development experience with JavaScript / TypeScript. ● 3+ years building backend services with Node.js and at least one modern framework such as NestJS, Express.js, or Hono. ● Experience designing and building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. ● Hands-on experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud. ● Solid knowledge of distributed system design and the challenges of horizontally scaled environments. ● Experience with relational and non-relational databases. ● Experience with messaging or event-driven systems (e.g., SQS/SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ). ● Experience writing unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, Vitest). ● Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing). ● Proficiency with Git and code versioning workflows.

● Strong grasp of software design patterns and principles for building robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. ● Ability to estimate work accurately. ● Experience in the banking/fintech industry is a plus. ● Previous experience in a leadership role such as tech lead is a plus.
