Sales Manager (New & Used Vehicle Operations)

Route 128 Honda is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to help lead our high-volume sales operation. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing both new and pre-owned vehicle sales, developing sales professionals, desking deals, driving profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Consultants
  • Manage daily operations of both the New and Used Vehicle Departments
  • Desk deals and assist in structuring transactions
  • Monitor sales performance, gross profit, and department profitability
  • Partner with the Finance Department to maximize product penetration and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with inventory management, vehicle pricing, and inventory aging strategies
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor sales staff
  • Ensure a professional, customer-focused sales process
  • Maintain high CSI and online reputation standards
  • Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive sales management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing both new and used vehicle sales operations
  • Strong desking and closing skills
  • Experience with inventory management and vehicle appraisals
  • Ability to analyze sales reports, KPIs, and profitability metrics
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching abilities
  • CRM experience required
  • Honda experience is a plus, but not required
