E&A Proposal Engineer Defence

Ben jij sterk in elektrotechniek en automatisering en krijg je energie van het vertalen van complexe E&A‑vraagstukken naar technische ontwerpen en overtuigende oplossingen voor Defence‑projecten? Wil je impact maken op de volgende generatie maritieme systemen en geïntegreerde platformen? Dan past deze rol perfect bij jou.

Als E&A Proposal Engineer Defence speel je een sleutelrol in de precontractuele fase. Je beoordeelt klantwensen, werkt integrale elektrische en automatiseringsconcepten uit en zorgt dat Sales beschikt over de juiste technische onderbouwing. Je combineert diepgaande E&A‑kennis met conceptueel denken, systeemintegratie en sterke communicatieve vaardigheden.

Dit is een rol voor iemand die technisch sterk is, maar het ook leuk vindt om het verhaal achter een oplossing helder en overtuigend over te brengen.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je bent het primaire aanspreekpunt voor alle Electrical & Automation onderwerpen tijdens de tenderfase;
  • Je vertaalt operationele eisen van de klant naar concrete E&A‑concepten:elektrische energieverdeling (HV/LV), voortstuwings- en aandrijfsystemen, automatiseringsplatformen (PLC/SCADA), integratie van sensoren, radars, navigatie- en communicatiesystemen, cybersecurity- en safety‑oplossingen.
  • Je beoordeelt klantwensen op technische haalbaarheid, regelgeving en technische risico’s;
  • Je ontwikkelt functionele schema’s, systeemarchitecturen en interface‑overzichten voor E&A‑installaties;
  • Je werkt nauw samen met cost estimators om jouw ontwerp te onderbouwen met berekeningen voor o.a.:energie‑ en belastingbalansen, kabel- en vermogensberekeningen, redundantie‑ en beschikbaarheidsanalyses.
  • Je hebt nauw contact met leveranciers voor E&A installaties, bepaalt in overleg leveringsomvang en techniek;
  • Je bouwt een overtuigend technisch verhaal voor Sales en stakeholders waarin je complexe E&A‑systemen helder weet uit te leggen;
  • Je draagt actief bij aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe E&A‑concepten binnen het Defence‑portfolio, bijvoorbeeld op het gebied van hybride voortstuwing, energiemanagementsystemen, automatiseringsstandaarden en digitale platformarchitectuur.

Wat breng je mee?

  • Een bachelor of master in Elektrotechniek, Automation / Industrial Automation, Electrical Power Engineering, Mechatronica of vergelijkbaar;
  • Kennis van:elektrische energiesystemen aan boord van schepen (HV/LV), automatisering en besturing (PLC, SCADA, geïntegreerde platformautomatisering), elektrische voortstuwing, vermogenselektronica en energieopslag, systeemintegratie en interfacebeheer.
  • Ervaring met ontwerp-, bereken- of CAD/CAE‑tools (bijv. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Matlab/Simulink, NEPLAN);
  • Begrip van relevante normen, maritieme regelgeving en veiligheid (bijv. Lloyd’s, DNV, MIL‑standaarden, EMC);
  • Vermogen om technische informatie te vertalen naar een helder concept en overtuigend verhaal;
  • Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels;
  • Ervaring met Defence-, bagger- of offshoreprojecten is een sterke pré.

Let op: Een VOG (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag) en het kunnen verkrijgen én behouden van de vereiste veiligheidsmachtiging zijn verplicht voor deze functie. Een relevante screening maakt onderdeel uit van het selectieproces.
