Ben jij op zoekt naar een stage waarin je bijdraagt aan de toekomst van de maritieme industrie?

Royal IHC ontwikkelt en levert geavanceerde pipelay-systemen voor offshore toepassingen, zoals op pipe-laying vessels als de Seven Vega en SSB. Een belangrijk onderdeel van deze systemen zijn de pipelay tensioners, die pijpleidingen gecontroleerd naar de zeebodem brengen.

De kettingen voor deze tensioners worden nu extern ingekocht. Ze voldoen niet aan hoge klanten eisen, zijn ongeschikt voor lage temperaturen, bieden weinig materiaalkeuze en kunnen niet optimaal worden aangepast op de pads.

Door zelf een ketting te ontwerpen kan IHC:

  • Beter voldoen aan klanteisen
  • Geschiktheid voor lage-temperatuurgebieden garanderen
  • Meer flexibiliteit bieden in materiaalkeuze en vormoptimalisatie

Jouw opdracht:

  • Onderzoek materiaalspecificaties en ontwerpeisen voor kettingen in zowel reguliere als lage-temperatuurgebieden
  • Ontwikkel een conceptontwerp voor een nieuwe ketting
  • Werk samen met productontwikkeling die jou begeleidt in de opdracht. Daarnaast sta je in contact met de mechanische afdeling en de sales afdeling die als klankboord voor klanten dient. Kortom: je doet je ervaring op in een dynamische omgeving met vele kansen.

Jouw profile:

  • Je volgt een HBO of WO opleiding in de richting van Werktuigbouwkunde
  • Je hebt interesse in materiaaltechnologie en ontwerpoptimalisatie
  • Ervaring met 3D CAD-pakketten en mechanisch ontwerpen is een pré
  • Je bent analytisch, zelfstandig en communicatief vaardig.
