JOB PURPOSE

The Sales Insights & Pricing Manager, EMEA plays a key role in supporting the regional commercial organisation by delivering actionable insights and pricing guidance that enable sustainable and profitable growth.

The role acts as a partner to Sales teams, providing data-driven support to help win business while improving price quality and margin performance. Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the role translates customer, market, and financial data into clear recommendations that support both day-to-day commercial decisions and longer-term strategic planning across the EMEA region.

The position is hands-on and commercially focused, with particular emphasis on customer buying behaviour, pricing strategy, new product introductions, and continuous improvement of commercial performance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Customer Insights

  • Analyse customer and sales data to identify purchasing patterns, behavioural trends, and segment performance
  • Develop customer segmentation models to support targeted sales approaches and value creation
  • Identify growth opportunities across customers, channels, and product categories
  • Conduct market analysis to identify pricing trends, demand drivers, and competitive positioning across key product categories
  • Provide clear, concise insight reports and dashboards to support account planning, forecasting, and commercial decision-making
  • Support the development of insight packs for leadership teams, QBRs, and commercial reviews

Pricing Strategy & NPI Support

  • Support the development and implementation of EMEA pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and customer dynamics
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) with data-driven price positioning recommendations and supporting rationale, in close collaboration with Product Management
  • Conduct detailed product cost analysis, including duties, taxes, shipping, exchange rates, and warehousing impacts
  • Benchmark competitor pricing and value propositions to ensure competitive market positioning
  • Work with Product Management to align pricing strategies with portfolio positioning, product lifecycle stage, and value proposition
  • Contribute to the development of value-based pricing approaches across key segments and channels
  • Assist in the planning and execution of price increases and adjustments, including impact analysis

Commercial Performance & Profitability Analysis

  • Analyse and model the impact of rebates, discounts, contract support, and pricing terms on profitability and revenue performance
  • Monitor pricing performance, price realisation, and margin development across customers and product categories
  • Assess customer, segment, and product/category profitability, identifying opportunities to improve margin and revenue quality
  • Analyse price/mix impacts and identify levers to improve overall commercial performance
  • Provide clear recommendations to support Sales teams in balancing volume growth and profitability

Pricing Tools & Decision Support

  • Develop and manage pricing tools, models, and calculators to support Sales decision-making and improve pricing transparency
  • Provide pricing guidance to Sales teams, including deal support, price positioning, and margin optimisation
  • Support the development of practical pricing frameworks, guardrails, and methodologies that are easy to use and adopt
  • Ensure pricing tools and outputs are accessible, intuitive, and aligned with Sales workflows

Reporting & Executive Insights

  • Monitor pricing performance, margin realisation, and customer profitability across the EMEA portfolio
  • Provide regular reporting and insight updates on pricing performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Support the development of structured, executive-level pricing and commercial insight reporting to inform strategic decision-making (developing capability)
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of standardised dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) to improve visibility and consistency across the region

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

  • Act as a central point of contact for insight and pricing-related requests from Sales teams across EMEA
  • Work closely with Country and Divisional Sales Leaders to translate insights into practical, actionable sales strategies
  • Collaborate with Product Management to ensure alignment between pricing, portfolio strategy, and value propositions
  • Partner with Marketing to align customer insights with campaigns and go-to-market strategies
  • Work with Finance and Supply Chain to support forecasting, pricing alignment, and S&OP processes

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the development of standardised processes for insights, reporting, and pricing activities
  • Drive improvements in data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems
  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and frameworks that enhance Sales effectiveness
  • Promote a data-driven and commercially focused mindset across the organisation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience in a commercial, pricing, sales analytics, or business analysis role
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales processes and customer dynamics
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to non-technical audiences

Desirable

  • Experience with pricing strategy development or pricing management
  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Experience in a multi-country or matrix organisation
  • Knowledge of the plumbing, heating, or wider construction sector
