Premium Accounting Analyst

Position Summary

The Premium Accounting Analyst supports AgCentric’s policy accounting function by applying premium payments, initiating claim and commission payment records, and reconciling bank accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work accurately within established systems and procedures. The associate contributes to the financial integrity of the organization and assists with additional projects as assigned.

What will your job entail?

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply premium payments to policy records within the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Initiate claim and commission payment records based on system data and established procedures
  • Reconcile bank accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies in coordination with the finance team
  • Maintain organized and complete documentation for all financial transactions
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support compliance with accounting standards and crop insurance program requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and data accuracy
  • Participate in training sessions to build knowledge of accounting systems and crop insurance processes
  • Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Work Experience and Education

  • Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred
  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support preferred
  • MPCI or agricultural insurance industry experience a plus

Licenses & Certifications

  • Not required; willingness to pursue relevant certifications or training is a plus

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Basic accounting principles and practices
  • Bank reconciliation and transaction processing
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and financial documentation
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software

The target salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
