The posting

This role serves as the primary liaison between the plant and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. It supports Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, particularly in developing special characteristics, and ensures compliance with IATF-16949, ISO-9001, and ISO-14001 standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing and tracking PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions, developing and maintaining Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQP), such as pFMEA, Control Plans, and Flow Diagrams. You'll also support the creation of gaging methods and manage process deviations.

A major aspect of the role is daily collaboration with Manufacturing, focusing on problem-solving and continuous quality improvement, including leading monthly scrap reduction meetings and facilitating training on key quality processes like SPC and customer-specific requirements.

The position involves managing Non-Conforming Material (NCM) areas, supporting customer audits, conducting capability studies, and developing visual boundary samples. You'll also contribute to error-proofing (Poka Yoke) efforts and assist with gage maintenance and certification. You will supervise Quality Inspectors under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

Required Skills:

  • Basic measurement and inspection skills
  • Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Measurement Systems Analysis

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in quality assurance or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in pFMEA, Control Plans, and Flow Diagrams
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001 standards
  • Experience in FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, PPAP, and Fishbone/Ishikawa

Preferred Experience:

  • Six Sigma certification
  • Familiarity with AIAG APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC, and FMEA manuals

  • PPE required (eye, hearing protection, and composite safety shoes).
