About the role

We are looking for an SDET / Technical QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in technical QA and test automation who wants to work closely with developers, Product and other QAs to deliver high-quality software at speed.

At group.one, QA is not just the final gate before release. Our QAs and SDETs are quality engineering partners embedded in the development process, helping teams identify risks early, improve testability, strengthen automation and build quality into everyday development.

You will have a strong focus on test automation, APIs, integration testing and technical quality improvements, while also supporting our move towards continuous delivery and AI-assisted software development.

What you will do

  • Take technical QA ownership within an agile development team.
  • Design, develop and maintain automated tests for critical business flows.
  • Build and improve UI, API and integration test coverage.
  • Apply risk-based testing and ensure automation effort focuses on high-impact areas.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve test stability, execution speed and maintainability.
  • Use and explore AI-assisted engineering and QA tools for automation, investigation and test development.
  • Manual functional testing when needed
  • Share automation practices and technical knowledge across QA teams.

Our technology and QA landscape

Depending on the product area, you may work with:

  • Playwright – UI and end-to-end automation
  • Pytest – API and integration automation
  • Pest – API, integration and developer-level testing
  • REST and GraphQL APIs
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Jira and Confluence
  • AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code

Experience with all technologies is not required, but we expect you to have strong automation fundamentals and the ability to quickly learn new frameworks and tools.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has 3+ years of experience in Technical QA, SDET, Test Automation Engineering or a similar role.
  • Has hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests.
  • Understands modern test automation architecture and good framework design.
  • Has strong experience with API and/or UI automation.
  • Is comfortable working with code, debugging and technical problem solving.
  • Can design effective test scenarios based on risk, customer impact and business-critical flows.
  • Takes ownership and proactively identifies quality and automation improvements.
  • Communicates technical risks clearly and constructively.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Playwright, Pytest, Pest or similar automation frameworks.
  • Experience testing REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding or testing tools.
  • Experience from the web hosting, domains, cloud, SaaS or related hosting industry.

What we offer

  • A modern QA organisation with a strong focus on quality engineering and automation.
  • The opportunity to influence our automation frameworks and technical QA direction.
  • Close collaboration with Delivery Managers, Developers and other QA Engineers.
  • Opportunities to grow technically and take broader ownership.
  • Access to modern automation and AI-assisted engineering tools.
  • An international working environment.

We are committed to an inclusive and safe environment, free from discrimination and harassment.

We welcome talent in all its diversity. Your gender, background, age, beliefs, or personal story do not define your opportunities here - what matters to us is mutual respect, personal appreciation, and creating a workplace where motivation and collaboration thrive. We believe in supporting your personal and professional growth, recognising you as both an individual and a valued team member.

We want to continue to grow with you and why we look forward to getting to know you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
