About Our Family & The Role

We are a busy, close-knit family entering an exciting new chapter as we settle into our new home in Midlothian. With two parents managing demanding careers, a school-aged child, and an active household, we are looking for support that helps create more ease, organization, and balance in our day-to-day lives, and that helps us build the systems behind our home and our family’s rental properties. Our home also includes a lovable 60-lb Redbone Coonhound who is very much part of the family.

We value a home that feels calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully cared for. We approach household management with intention, efficiency, and high standards, and we appreciate someone with a heart of service who takes pride in the details, from a well-stocked pantry to a well-run spreadsheet.

Trust, discretion, and strong communication are incredibly important to our family, along with kindness and a sense of responsibility. This is a true partnership in helping our household run smoothly. You will operate as an extension of our family, running our household and supporting our rental property portfolio. We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and takes ownership of the details that make everyday life more manageable.

This role will start with household management and property administration support and is expected to grow over time. As our needs evolve, it may expand into broader executive assistant responsibilities. We welcome seasoned professionals in executive support, operations, or corporate administration who are looking for a flexible, meaningful role.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

  • Proactive & Anticipatory: You naturally notice what needs to be done and take initiative without needing frequent direction. You stay one step ahead, manage priorities, solve problems, and help carry the mental load of the household.
  • Highly Organized & Systems-Oriented: You enjoy creating order, maintaining routines, and building simple systems that help a busy household and a growing rental portfolio run smoothly. You are confident with calendars, spreadsheets, online ordering and payment systems, and digital tools. A project-manager mindset and strong attention to detail are key.
  • Trustworthy, Discreet & Reliable: You handle personal information, finances, and household details with the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and good judgment. You are punctual, follow through, and take ownership of your commitments.
  • Professional & Polished Communicator: You are warm, friendly, and respectful, and you communicate efficiently with family members, vendors, and tenants and read the pace of the household.
  • Corporate-Caliber and Hands-On: You bring the judgment and polish of a seasoned professional, and you take equal pride in the everyday details, whether that is a well-run system or schedule, a home-cooked dinner, or a well-stocked pantry.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
