Overview:

If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Learning & Culture Intern to join our People Team. Based in our Jersey City, NJ office, this role offers a unique opportunity to apply data-driven decision making, AI acumen, internal communications, and program-building skills to initiatives that shape how our employees work, connect, understand key priorities, and thrive across a distributed organization.

You’ll work closely with People Team leaders and collaborate with IT, Facilities, Communications, and business leaders to analyze data, evaluate trends, support thoughtful employee-facing messaging, and strengthen our culture, employee experience, and future of work strategy. Reporting to the Director, Learning & Culture TBC, this role is perfect for someone excited about building a career at the intersection of people, data, AI, communications, and culture.

What you’d be doing:

  • Assist with strategic projects that enhance distributed work, culture-building, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Help prepare presentations and insights for senior leadership to inform decisions on workplace design and culture strategy.
  • Draft, edit, and organize internal communications that help employees understand People Team programs, culture initiatives, engagement activities, and future-of-work priorities.
  • Support communication planning by helping build message calendars, audience maps, stakeholder updates, FAQs, talking points, and cascade materials for managers and leaders.
  • Translate survey findings, program updates, and leadership priorities into clear, concise, employee-centered communications across channels such as email, intranet posts, slide content, and manager toolkits.
  • Contribute to process improvements that improve collaboration across teams and strengthen employee experience.
  • Partner with People, IT, and Facilities teams to analyze data on workplace utilization, employee engagement, and distributed work trends.
  • Leverage AI tools to analyze workforce and workplace data, identify patterns, and generate insights that inform decision-making.
  • Support the development of dashboards, surveys, and reports to measure workplace effectiveness and culture outcomes.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on topics such as office usage, hybrid/remote work patterns, and collaboration effectiveness.

What you’ll gain:

  • Exposure to the intersection of people, culture, and workplace strategy in a high-growth company.
  • Hands-on experience applying analytics and AI to real-world people and workplace challenges.
  • Practical experience developing internal communications that connect people programs to business priorities and make complex information easier for employees and leaders to act on.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams (People, IT, Facilities, and business leaders).
  • Mentorship and networking opportunities with senior leaders.
  • A chance to contribute to shaping SageSure’s future of work and culture initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • AI experience or coursework (e.g., applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or workplace analytics tools).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel required; familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo), survey platforms, or statistical tools is a plus.
  • Experience drafting or editing communications for employee, student, campus, nonprofit, or workplace audiences; examples may include newsletters, emails, intranet or web content, presentations, event communications, or social posts.
  • Strong attention to tone, audience, grammar, accuracy, and brand voice, with comfort tailoring messages for employees, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn data, feedback, and program details into clear, engaging stories that influence action.
  • A passion for people, culture, and workplace experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
