The posting

Maintains facility and ground providing a safe and clean-living environment for clients and staff.

  • Conducts monthly inspections of the facility including buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects dangerous conditions immediately.
  • Serves as safety officer and provides training on safety procedures during monthly staff meetings.
  • Keeps all equipment in safe working conditions.
  • Ensure driveways, sidewalks and common areas are free of debris.
  • Maintains all facility maintenance and grounds, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, millworks & grounds.
  • Cleans air conditioners, vents, and filters on furnace.
  • Conducts inventory of all maintenance and cleaning supplies and submits list to the Executive Director.
  • Maintains utility closets and keeps them free of debris and clutter.
  • Must interact properly with individuals who receive Supported Employment Services.
  • Serves as a role model and source of feedback to the client.
  • Capable of being on call for emergency transportation.
  • Serves as Infection Control/Environment of Care Instructor.
  • Capable of being on call for emergency transportation.
  • Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
  • Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
  • Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
  • Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state, and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all term of the contracts.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • First Aid/CPR.
  • Mandt.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR, MS State Background Check and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance Check; pass a physical examination & TB Skin Test
  • Lifting Requirements of 50 lbs
  • Valid Mississippi Driver’s License and Clear Driving Record
  • Prefer two years related experience
