About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience

You'll be joining the DET Salesforce on Salesforce Technology team, a strategic pillar within Salesforce's Digital Enterprise Technology organization. As part of Salesforce's "Customer Zero" initiative, our team develops and deploys enterprise-scale solutions that power the company's global Employee success processes and operations while serving as the primary validation ground for emerging Salesforce technologies. This role offers the unique opportunity to build cutting-edge solutions using Agentforce, AI agents, and next-generation platform capabilities while directly impacting thousands of internal users and influencing product development across Salesforce. You'll be at the forefront of Salesforce's internal digital transformation, working on high-visibility initiatives that demonstrate the full potential of the Salesforce platform to both internal stakeholders and the broader customer ecosystem.

As a Senior member of Technical Staff, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the Salesforce platform that powers our business operations and customer experiences. The applications and integrations you develop will streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and enable teams across the organization to work more efficiently at scale. Your work will directly impact how thousands of users interact with our systems daily and how our customers experience our services. By implementing cutting-edge capabilities like Agentforce and AI-powered features, you'll help drive innovation while ensuring platform reliability and performance. Beyond writing code, you'll influence technical architecture decisions, elevate team capabilities through code reviews and mentorship, and establish best practices that create a foundation for sustainable growth. This role offers the opportunity to make tangible business impact while growing your expertise in enterprise Salesforce development and emerging AI technologies.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of production-ready applications on the Salesforce platform, balancing rapid delivery with reliability, maintainability, security, and scale.
  • Own complex features through requirements analysis, architecture, development, code review, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.
  • Build reusable components and services that improve employee lifecycle experiences and support evolving business processes.
  • Design and maintain robust integrations with upstream and downstream systems using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, event-driven, batch, and real-time patterns.
  • Assess the end-to-end impact of new requirements across Salesforce, enterprise data models, dependent applications, and operational processes.
  • Partner with product managers, engineering leaders, architects, and cross-functional teams to define scope, make sound tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Use AI development tools responsibly for code exploration, prototyping, test generation, refactoring, documentation, and troubleshooting; review generated output for correctness and risk before adoption.
  • Develop comprehensive unit, integration, regression, functional, and smoke tests, and integrate quality controls into CI and CD workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and improve performance, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, telemetry, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Raise team capability through thoughtful code reviews, technical mentoring, standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing across geographies.
  • Track Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, including Agentforce and Prompt Builder, and recommend improvements that advance the platform responsibly.

You’re Our Person If…

  • Typically 5 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems and complex technical features.
  • A related technical degree is required.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and proficiency in one or more relevant languages, such as Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Apex, Python, Go, C# or .NET.
  • Experience designing APIs and integrations with REST, SOAP, GraphQL, middleware, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or TypeScript, and component-based UI development.
  • Experience with relational data modeling and database technologies, including SQL or SOQL; familiarity with platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • A track record of writing clean, testable code and building unit, integration, regression, service, and UI test suites.
  • Experience with Git-based development, modern IDEs, CI and CD tooling, release management, and production monitoring.
  • Experience delivering software on public cloud or SaaS platforms, such as Salesforce, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Sound judgment when reviewing AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, privacy, licensing, and maintainability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, DML, governor limits, and modern platform patterns; familiarity with Aura or Visualforce is useful for existing applications.

Even Better If…

  • Experience with Salesforce Developer Experience, scratch orgs, CLI tools, managed or unlocked packages, or AppExchange development.
  • Experience building Agentforce agents and actions, or MCP tools for production workflows.
  • Integration experience with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Slack, MuleSoft, or other employee and business systems.
  • Experience establishing non-functional requirements for security, scalability, availability, observability, compliance, and fault tolerance.
  • Knowledge of data-modeling practices, contributions to open source, or relevant Salesforce, Java, or cloud certifications.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams and adapting delivery practices to changing business and technical needs.

How you will work

You will work in a hybrid engineering model with teammates across geographies. Success in this role requires hands-on technical leadership, a bias for fixing problems at their source, and a collaborative approach that builds trust with product teams, customers, and partner systems. You will connect technical decisions to employee and business outcomes while creating the feedback loops needed to improve both Salesforce products and the internal experience.

Unleash Your Potential

When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best. Together, we’ll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future — but to redefine what’s possible — for yourself, for AI, and the world.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
