CDL-A Local Live Haul Driver

Earn an average of $75,000 per year hauling live poultry on a dedicated local account. Enjoy daily home time, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a $7,500 bonus. Drivers must be comfortable securing loads and navigating challenging farm roads.

Pay Details

  • Average Annual Pay: $75,000
  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,442
  • Pay Rate: $0.50–$0.52 CPM
  • Bonus: $7,500
  • Approximately 1,024 miles per week

Job Details

  • Dedicated local live-haul poultry account
  • Pick up live chickens from farms and deliver them to a facility in Selbyville, DE
  • Average of 3 inbound loads per day
  • Haul chicken cages on flatbed trailers
  • Secure loads using straps and a cheater bar
  • Operate within approximately a 300-mile radius of Selbyville, DE
  • Automatic day cabs must remain at the account during time off

Shift Details

  • Home daily
  • Monday–Friday
  • Required to work 1–2 Saturdays per month
  • Start times between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM
  • Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s off

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck-driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Ability to strap and secure chicken cages using a cheater bar
  • Comfortable driving on uneven farm roads with grades, bumps, and ditches
  • Live-haul experience preferred but not required
