Join a dedicated local intermodal operation in Harrisburg, PA. Earn $89,000-$99,000 annually, get home every day, and run local routes within a 250-mile radius while handling 2-5 loads per day.

2367 Sycamore St., Harrisburg, PA 17111 — tractors remain at this terminal during drivers' time off.

Pay Details

$89,000-$99,000 Average Annual Pay

  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,712-$1,904
  • $10,000 bonus
  • $0.52-$0.57 per mile
  • Approximately 1,565 miles per week
  • Medical coverage available after 30 days
  • 6 paid holidays

Job Details

  • Dedicated local intermodal operation
  • Routes within a 250-mile radius of Harrisburg
  • Pull intermodal freight into and out of two Harrisburg rail yards
  • Priority loading and unloading at Norfolk Southern railyards
  • 2-5 loads per day
  • No NYC
  • Slip-seat operation
  • Both manual and automatic trucks available
  • Drivers should be able to operate both unless they have an automatic restriction
  • Average truck age approximately 2 years

Shift Details

  • Tuesday-Saturday
  • Start times between 11:00 AM-2:00 PM
  • Applicants must be willing to work any available start time
  • More desirable shifts may become available based on tenure/seniority
  • Home daily
  • Non-smoker position
  • Thanksgiving: may work
  • Christmas: off
  • New Year's: may work

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • HAZMAT endorsement not required at hire
  • Must obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 60 days of hire
  • Must be able to operate manual and automatic equipment unless restricted
  • Non-smoker
  • Additional qualifications may apply

  • Tractors remain at the Harrisburg terminal during time off
  • Full-service maintenance available on-site
  • Modern equipment averaging approximately 2 years old
  • HAZMAT Threat Assessment and fingerprinting expenses reimbursed up to $60$35.75 Threat Assessment $24.25 fingerprinting Receipts required Final reimbursement after the HAZMAT endorsement is added to the physical CDL
