Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant

Sam Leman Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram – Champaign, IL

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant to help keep our vehicles looking their best and our dealership lot organized. This is a hands-on position where you'll work with new and used cars, trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs every day.

No two days are exactly the same! You'll split your time between detailing vehicles, preparing them for customers, organizing inventory, and helping keep the dealership looking its best.

What You'll Do

  • Wash, vacuum, clean, and detail new and used vehicles
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery and front-lot display
  • Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and ready to show
  • Organize and move vehicle inventory throughout the lot
  • Remove plastics, stickers, and shipping materials from new vehicles
  • Install sales and pricing materials as needed
  • Assist with vehicle deliveries and transportation
  • Report vehicle damage or mechanical concerns to management
  • Move vehicles to the Service Department when needed
  • Keep the dealership lot, walkways, and entrances clean and organized
  • Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary
  • Maintain detailing equipment and supplies
  • Jump in and help the team wherever needed

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and isn't afraid to stay busy. Automotive experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person!

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Dependable and ready to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
  • Able to follow directions and work independently
  • Willing to learn and take initiative
  • Previous detailing or automotive experience is a plus, but not required
