Automotive Parts Counterperson – Ford Bloomington
Sam Leman Ford in Bloomington, IL is looking for an Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our team!
The Sam Leman Automotive Group has been family-owned and operated since 1963 and has grown to 13 dealerships across Central Illinois with more than 700 employees. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our Ford parts department.
Automotive parts experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
- Assist technicians, customers, and dealership staff with automotive parts needs
- Look up and identify the correct parts using dealership parts systems and catalogs
- Process parts sales from start to finish
- Locate and order parts that are not currently in stock
- Complete and track special-order parts requests
- Communicate with customers and staff regarding parts availability and order status
- Maintain accurate parts records and inventory
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Automotive parts or dealership experience preferred, but not required — we are willing to train
- Automotive knowledge is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
