What you will be doing

  • Support electrical designs and technical summaries under the guidance of experienced engineering team members, helping ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Create and update electrical schematics, panel layouts and wiring-harness drawings.
  • Assist with the creation, release and maintenance of bills of materials to support production.
  • Support the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Help provide technical support to production and post-sales teams by gathering information, reviewing documentation and assisting with troubleshooting.
  • Prepare as-built updates to schematics, layouts and other technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and software teams, as well as production, customers and vendors, to clarify technical requirements.
  • Stay current with relevant electrical, automation, controls and battery-electric vehicle technologies while supporting other assigned engineering tasks.

  • Attend required Environmental, Health and Safety training.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

  • Current enrolment in an Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related post-secondary co-op program.
  • A foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles gained through coursework, academic projects, previous work or student-team experience.
  • Experience reading or creating electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is an asset but is not required.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or another 3D CAD platform is an asset.

  • Clear communication, teamwork, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada for the full duration of the co-op term.
  • A positive, curious and safety-focused approach to learning.

In return for your passion and drive we will offer you...

  • Hands-on electrical engineering experience with products used in the global mining industry.
  • Mentorship and practical guidance from experienced engineering and manufacturing professionals.
  • Exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, from design and documentation to installation, production support and troubleshooting.
  • Opportunities to strengthen your electrical design, technical communication, automation and project-management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an international, industry-leading organization.
  • A supportive environment focused on learning, professional development and meaningful contributions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
