The posting

Position Purpose

The position’s primary role is to provide finance assistance for the Group IT Department using our ERP software and tools:

• Accounts Payable - Partnering with our suppliers and internal teams to ensure strong supplier relationships are upheld and suppliers paid.

• Reporting – Prepare the Monthly Finance reports for the IT Leadership Team

• Procurement – reconcile the HALO Purchase Orders to incoming Invoices. Manage the Vertice contract renewal system

Role Accountabilities

Accountability: Accounts Payable

• Process a large volume of supplier invoices and credits and match invoices against Purchase Orders as goods are received.

• Receive and process invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

• Routine reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on any issues as appropriate.

• Ensure delegation of authority & company approval policies are followed and unauthorised invoices are forwarded to the team member responsible for payment approval.

• Complete month end processes.

• Address and respond to employee enquiries in a timely manner and follow up any outstanding items with personnel responsible.

• At all times be diligent to ensure fraudulent requests for payments are identified and avoided.

Accountability: Reporting

• Provide Monthly reporting to the IT Leadership Team

• Provide Ad hoc reporting as required

• Advise Leadership of any issues/errors in accounts

• Participating in the budget cycle

Accountability: Procurement

• Reconcile Purchase Orders against incoming schedules/Invoices • Manage the Vertice procurement portal

Essential Qualities

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the areas listed above and be able to demonstrate the following qualities.

• Strong computer skills (experience with varying ERP systems and MS Office suites preferred, especially Excel).

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work productively when under pressure.

• Methodical, organized, accurate and proactive.

• A positive, curious and flexible attitude.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

What is the typical background required to competently perform the responsibilities of the job?

• Time management skills under reporting deadlines

• At least 3 years undertaking finance activities

• Prefer a Finance Degree

• Stakeholder engagement skills

• Data analyst skills
