The firm is founded and led by Thor Bang-Ellingsen, who over 13 years helped build Prokura - a Nordic procurement consultancy acquired by Kearney - into a global firm, and built its Norwegian business from the ground up. The opportunity

As an Associate Partner at Bang & Partners, you are part of the leadership of a young firm with real momentum. You lead major engagements, develop the consultants coming up behind you, and help grow the business - increasingly originating and selling work as you build your own platform. You are a strategic partner to senior clients - and a builder of the firm itself.

For the right Associate Partner, this is a genuine ownership role from day one. We are open to equity ownership from the start for candidates who bring the expertise, the ambition, and a commercial platform - established or emerging - to build with us. Not an equity “journey” you wait years for, but a real stake in the firm you help create.

What you will do

  • Lead procurement engagements and grow client relationships - increasingly originating and selling work as you build your platform
  • Own entire engagements end-to-end - the team and the strategic client relationship
  • Build and grow client accounts, converting your network into pipeline and lasting relationships
  • Develop consultants and set the standard for how we deliver and win
  • Shape the firm's offerings, commercial model and go-to-market as part of how the firm is run
  • Bring AI and modern method into how we sell and deliver

What we are looking for

  • A strong academic background and track record
  • Typically 7 or more years of relevant experience in procurement and/or strategic consulting - primarily or wholly from a leading consulting firm
  • Sales and business development as part of the path - an emerging or established track record; selling isn't the entry ticket, the drive to build it is
  • A relevant network in the Nordic market, or the credibility to build one
  • A strong, credible leader who develops teams and earns client trust
  • Excellent communication in Norwegian and English, from working teams to the boardroom
  • The ambition to co-build - and co-own - a firm
  • Excited by AI as part of the craft - quick to adopt the best tools, and keen to help shape the ones we build ourselves Procurement is our focus - but we're also open to strong supply chain profiles, an area we plan to grow.
