Management Consultant, Procurement - Consultant to Partner

Build a new consulting firm from day one - at the level that matches where you are.

Bang & Partners is a brand-new procurement consultancy, and you can be part of it from the very beginning. We combine the energy and ownership of a start-up with the rigour of top-tier consulting - and impact that goes beyond it, because we execute, not just advise.

The firm is founded and led by Thor Bang-Ellingsen, who over 13 years helped build Prokura - a Nordic procurement consultancy acquired by Kearney - into a global firm, and built its Norwegian business from the ground up. He knows exactly what it takes. The network is there, and the track record to believe we will do it again. What we are building now is the team that takes it to the next level, and we want you in it early.

We are hiring across five levels

This is one advert covering five roles. Apply to the level that fits you - and if you are unsure, apply anyway and say so. We will place you where your experience belongs.

Consultant

Drive the analysis across procurement engagements - spend, categories, sourcing and negotiation - and turn it into sharp, client-ready recommendations. You build the fact base and structured problem-solving that strong engagements rest on, own your workstreams end-to-end with a senior practitioner alongside you, and contribute in client workshops from early on.

Senior Consultant

Take on the most complex parts of our engagements. You develop the strategic solutions, own significant workstreams end-to-end, and step up as a leader within the team - guiding and coaching more junior colleagues. You work directly with senior client stakeholders far earlier than a traditional setup would allow, and contribute to proposals and scoping as we build the pipeline.

Project Manager

Own the client relationship and the result end-to-end. You lead engagement teams, run the day-to-day relationship with senior stakeholders, and take accountability for impact the client can measure. This is an associate-partner-track role from the start, with business development as part of the path - proposals, scoping and growing existing accounts.

Associate Partner

Part of the leadership of a young firm with real momentum. You lead major engagements, develop the consultants coming up behind you, and increasingly originate and sell work as you build your own platform. You shape the firm's offerings, commercial model and go-to-market as part of how the firm is run. For the right candidate, this is equity ownership from day one - not a journey you wait years for.

Partner

Co-owner and shaper of the firm's direction. You lead in the market, win and deliver the work that matters most, and build both the client base and the team. You set strategy as a member of the partnership and represent the firm in the market. We are looking for an established book of business and a sales platform in the Nordic market - selling from day one. Significant equity and a real say, from the start.

What we look for at every level

  • A strong academic record. A master's degree in economics, engineering, business or a related field for Consultant through Project Manager. At Associate Partner and Partner level, the track record carries more weight than the degree.
  • Experience primarily or wholly from a leading consulting firm, within procurement or strategy. For Consultant, standout consulting internship experience also counts.
  • Sharp analytical rigour and structured problem-solving, and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear recommendations
  • A proactive, dependable working style and real ownership - we hire adults
  • Someone energised, not daunted, by a blank page and a small, fast-moving team
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English - at senior levels, from working teams to the boardroom
  • Genuine drive to help build something, and the ambition to grow with it
  • Excited by AI as part of the craft - quick to adopt the best tools, and keen to help shape the ones we build ourselves

Procurement is our focus - but we are also open to strong supply chain profiles, an area we plan to grow.
