Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Verification & Validation Engineer to support the development and validation of embedded platforms. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Board Support Packages (BSPs), embedded Linux architecture, and low-level software testing on target hardware. This role involves validating software integration, developing test strategies, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain verification and validation (V&V) test plans for embedded Linux platforms
  • Validate software integration on target hardware and troubleshoot low-level system issues
  • Develop, automate, and maintain test cases for:Board Support Packages (BSPs) Device drivers Linux kernel components Platform software
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and support defect resolution
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks

Rôle et responsabilités :

Nous recherchons un(e) Ingénieur(e) Vérification & Validation expérimenté(e) pour participer à la validation de plateformes embarquées. Le ou la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède une solide expertise des Board Support Packages (BSP), de l’architecture Linux embarquée et des essais de logiciels bas niveau sur matériel cible. Le rôle consiste à valider l’intégration logicielle, développer les stratégies de test et collaborer étroitement avec les équipes d’ingénierie logicielle, matérielle et système.

Responsabilités principales:​​

  • Concevoir, développer, exécuter et maintenir les plans de tests de vérification et validation (V&V) pour des plateformes Linux embarquées
  • Valider l’intégration logicielle sur les cartes électroniques ciblées et diagnostiquer les problèmes système de bas niveau
  • Développer, automatiser et maintenir les cas de tests pour :Les Board Support Packages (BSP) Les pilotes de périphériques (device drivers) Le noyau Linux Les composantes logicielles de plateforme
  • Réaliser des tests fonctionnels, d’intégration, de régression et système
  • Analyser les résultats de tests, identifier les causes racines et contribuer à la résolution des anomalies
  • Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes logiciel, matériel et systèmes tout au long du cycle de développement
  • Participer à l’amélioration continue des méthodologies, outils et environnements d’automatisation des tests

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Verification & Validation (V&V) for embedded Linux systems
  • Strong understanding of Board Support Packages (BSPs) and software integration
  • Solid knowledge of embedded Linux architecture, including:Bootloaders Linux Kernel Device Tree Device Drivers Platform bring-up and integration
  • Hands-on experience testing low-level software on embedded hardware platforms
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++
  • Experience debugging embedded systems and analyzing software/hardware interactions
  • Familiarity with test automation and scripting

Qualifications requises :

  • Baccalauréat en génie informatique, génie électrique, informatique ou expérience équivalente
  • 5+ années d’expérience en vérification et validation (V&V) de systèmes Linux embarqués
  • Excellente connaissance des Board Support Packages (BSP) et de leur intégration
  • Solide compréhension de l’architecture Linux embarquée, notamment :Bootloader Noyau Linux Device Tree Pilotes de périphériques Intégration et démarrage de plateformes
  • Expérience pratique en tests de logiciels bas niveau sur cartes électroniques ou plateformes embarquées
  • Très bonne maîtrise du langage C/C++
  • Expérience en débogage de systèmes embarqués et en analyse des interactions logiciel-matériel
  • Expérience en automatisation de tests et en développement de scripts
