Job title: Senior Accountant

Company: Australian Invested Coal Company

Area: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Role Accountabilities:

  • Preparing, getting approval, and monitoring accounting policies and procedures
  • Booking accounting transactions per relevant laws, resolutions, procedures, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), based on valid documents, and reporting financial and tax reports on time as set out in laws, resolutions, and procedures to respective tax offices and management
  • Monitoring the group companies assets and financial operation through accounting
  • Being responsible for audits from the Tax Office, Social Security Office, Financial Auditors, and other audits on accounting
  • Participating in the preparation of the Chart of Accounts (CoA), applying the approved CoA and monitoring the proper usage of CoA as intended, and proposing any necessary changes to the CoA while obtaining approval
  • Being responsible for accounting software, leading updates required on accounting software, and resolving issues through discussion and approval from management
  • Finding updates on accounting laws, resolutions, and standards relevant to accounting and applying those changes in booking
  • Archiving all documents related to accounting
  • Being creative and striving for improvement all the time
  • Reporting accounting information on time as requested by management
  • Performing duties in accordance with relevant company policies and procedures
  • Carrying out other duties assigned by management
  • All the above duties apply not only to Mongolian companies but also to the Australian parent company under Australian Tax Law.
  • All above duties are not only for Mongolian companies, but also for Australian parent company per Australian Tax Law

Technical Competencies & Skills:

  • The incumbent should hold at minimum a Bachelors degree in accounting
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Professional certification
  • Decent skills on Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude
