## Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing, Series-B technology company that develops core infrastructure for enterprise-focused products. The role involves owning modules end-to-end, making sound technical decisions, and contributing to the architecture and engineering culture as the company scales. The ideal candidate will help build a platform that offers real-time visibility, control, and governance over critical organizational resources, emphasizing security, scalability, and reliability.

## Responsibilities - Own and deliver backend modules/services end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. - Drive technical decisions and contribute to system architecture to ensure high scalability, reliability, and performance. - Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and smooth delivery. - Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and help establish best practices for design, coding, testing, and observability. - Proactively identify gaps in systems, processes, and tooling, and propose/implement improvements to support scaling. - Break down complex problems, handle ambiguity, and deliver pragmatic, production-ready solutions.

## Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining complex applications in production environments. - Strong expertise with databases (NoSQL and/or relational), including data modeling, query optimization, and schema design. - Solid understanding of system design, object-oriented design, and common design patterns. - Ability to independently design and build small services/microservices. - Experience in debugging, profiling, and scaling high-performance backend applications. - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and reason about trade-offs. - Prior experience working in a product-based company. - Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Educational qualifications: Not specified.

## Preferred Skills - Experience with Node.js or React.js. - Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar document databases. - Prior experience mentoring engineers or informally leading a small team.

## Experience - 3+ years of relevant experience in backend development, with a focus on complex applications and microservices architecture. - Experience working in product-based companies is preferred.
