Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Manager, Finance Project Management (Assessment & Readiness Lead) to be based in Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Westmont, IL; or Boston, MA. As the Assessment & Readiness Lead, you are a senior transformation leadership role within the Titan Program, accountable for orchestrating Finance assessment and deployment-readiness activities across countries, business units, operating companies, and acquisitions transitioning to Titan's future-state operating model. In this role, you will achieve outcomes by directing and coordinating cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and implementation partners rather than by personally producing every assessment deliverable. Serving as the primary Finance lead during the assessment phase, this role mobilizes and aligns business stakeholders, deployment teams, functional leaders, Digital, Internal Controls, and implementation partners. The role establishes clear ownership and governance so the broader assessment team can develop an accurate current-state baseline, identify gaps to Titan standards, evaluate deployment complexity, controls, and risk, and define the actionable roadmap and backlog required for successful implementation. The role is accountable for the quality, completeness, stakeholder alignment, and readiness of assessment outputs. Deliverables are developed through the coordinated contributions of process owners, Product Owners, functional specialists, local stakeholders, controls teams, and external partners. Success will be determined by assessment quality, stakeholder alignment, backlog readiness, control remediation, and early identification of deployment risks. Key Responsibilities Assessment Strategy & Leadership Direct and coordinate end-to-end Finance assessments for Titan deployments across countries, business units, acquisitions, and operating companies. Establish structured assessment plans and coordinate execution across accountable workstream leads, subject matter experts, and implementation partners. Own the governance, quality, integration, stakeholder alignment, recommendations, and readiness outcomes of the assessment, without serving as the primary author of every deliverable. Establish milestones, decision forums, ownership, and escalation paths that keep assessment activities on schedule and focused on actionable outcomes. Partner with deployment leadership to define scope, complexity, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and deployment strategy. Current-State Discovery & Validation Coordinate process owners, subject matter experts, and delivery resources to plan and facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions that document and validate the current state. Ensure appropriately qualified specialists assess Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, cost and inventory accounting, treasury, tax, intercompany, financial reporting, applications, data, and controls. Ensure conclusions are fact-based, traceable, documented, and formally validated by accountable business and program stakeholders. Create visibility to incomplete information, conflicting requirements, and dependencies, and drive resolution or escalation where needed. Fit-to-Template & Gap Assessment Provide leadership and governance for fit-to-standard and fit-to-template assessments performed with Business Process Owners, Product Owners, solution teams, controls specialists, local stakeholders, and implementation partners. Ensure process, system, data, reporting, compliance, control, and organizational gaps are identified by the appropriate specialists, consistently assessed, and integrated into an overall view of deployment impact. Evaluate and challenge requirements that introduce unnecessary complexity, customization, or deviation from standard solutions. Drive agreement on gap definition, severity, priority, ownership, disposition, and remediation approach. Facilitate key business decisions and escalate unresolved issues through established governance. Backlog & Requirements Governance Establish the working model through which Product Owners, Business Process Owners, and delivery teams convert validated findings into clear requirements and acceptance criteria. Provide oversight and quality assurance so relevant Finance capabilities are represented through appropriately structured Epics, Features, User Stories, and decisions in Jira, with accountable content owners. Establish expectations and governance for traceability from current-state findings and identified gaps through solution design, delivery, testing, and remediation. Partner with Product Owners, Business Process Owners, Architects, Solution Leads, and deployment teams to validate backlog quality, completeness, ownership, and prioritization. Ensure backlog priorities reflect business value, control requirements, deployment objectives, critical dependencies, and program standards. Risk, Controls & Compliance Partner with Internal Controls, Audit, Compliance, Tax, and Finance leadership to evaluate transformation and deployment risks. Coordinate with specialists to ensure potential control gaps, segregation-of-duties conflicts, statutory or regulatory concerns, financial reporting risks, and operational impacts are identified and assessed. Ensure accountable owners define remediation actions, assign ownership, reflect required work in the delivery backlog where appropriate, and track actions to closure. Provide transparent readiness reporting on open risks, control gaps, decisions, dependencies, and mitigating actions. Stakeholder & Change Leadership Build trusted relationships across Finance, business, operations, technology, program leadership, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders toward standardization and fit-to-template adoption while appropriately challenging requests for localization or custom solutions. Facilitate constructive decisions on simplification, standardization, ownership, and business change. Clarify transformation impacts, benefits, risks, accountabilities, and required decisions for affected stakeholders. Create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups while maintaining pace, transparency, and accountability. Executive Communication & Deployment Readiness Synthesize assessment workstream inputs into concise executive summaries, recommendations, risk reviews, decision materials, and readiness updates, supported by the appropriate subject matter experts. Provide clear visibility into scope complexity, readiness, risks, dependencies, resource considerations, decisions, control gaps, and backlog maturity. Contribute to roadmap development, sequencing, mobilization, and deployment planning. Provide an evidence-based recommendation on Finance readiness to proceed to the next phase. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance transformation, ERP transformation, management consulting, process excellence, or large-scale enterprise programs. Demonstrated leadership of complex, cross-functional assessment teams, operating-model changes, process transformations, or ERP deployments in global or multi-business environments. Proven experience translating integrated business findings into requirements, decisions, implementation roadmaps, and delivery backlogs. Strong knowledge of end-to-end Finance processes, internal controls, and the interdependencies among process, data, technology, and organization. Experience facilitating senior stakeholder decisions and orchestrating cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and partners without relying solely on direct authority. Ability to travel based on assessment and deployment needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation or deployment programs. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, project-based, or multi-entity business environments. Experience assessing acquired businesses, complex application landscapes, or multi-ERP environments. Working knowledge of Agile delivery, Jira backlog management, requirements lifecycle management, and deployment governance. MBA, CPA, CMA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable professional certification. What success looks like Enterprise transformation leadership Structures ambiguous situations, establishes direction, and connects assessment outcomes to enterprise objectives. Executive influence Builds credibility quickly and guides senior stakeholders toward timely, sustainable decisions. Finance and controls acumen Understands Finance processes, reporting, compliance, and internal-control implications. Analytical rigor Integrates specialist inputs, distinguishes facts from assumptions, and develops evidence-based recommendations. Standardization mindset Promotes fit-to-template adoption while recognizing legitimate legal, regulatory, control, and business requirements. Delivery discipline Creates governance, ownership, traceability, prioritization, and follow-through across assessment and delivery teams. Collaboration and facilitation Aligns diverse stakeholders, resolves conflict constructively, and maintains momentum across workstreams. Clear communication Translates complex findings into concise, audience-appropriate messages and decisions. Key Measures of Success Assessments are completed to agreed scope, quality, and milestone expectations through effective coordination of accountable teams. Current-state findings and gaps are validated by accountable stakeholders. Finance capabilities and assessment findings are represented in a complete, prioritized, and deployment-ready Jira backlog. Control, compliance, and financial reporting risks are identified early, with accountable remediation plans. Deployment teams receive clear decisions, requirements, dependencies, and readiness recommendations. Scope volatility and late discovery are reduced through disciplined assessment and traceability. Titan standard processes and solutions are adopted unless a justified exception is approved through governance.
