The posting
Schneider Electric seeks a commercially driven sustainability business development professional to accelerate new-client acquisition across Hong Kong and Taiwan. The role will originate, shape, and close strategic opportunities that combine sustainability advisory, Resource Advisor+ (RA+), AI-enabled sustainability intelligence, digital solutions, energy efficiency management, renewable energy, and decarbonization services. In addition to growing the established Hong Kong market, the successful candidate will play a key role in expanding Schneider Electric's Sustainability Business presence in Taiwan by developing new customer relationships, building local market awareness, identifying strategic partners, and creating a scalable growth pipeline for advisory, digital sustainability, and Resource Advisor+ (RA+) offerings. Success requires disciplined prospecting, executive-level consultative selling, strong territory ownership, digital fluency, and effective orchestration of regional and global experts. What will you do? Own the Hong Kong and Taiwan new-business territory, develop the go-to-market plan, prioritize target sectors and accounts, and translate market potential into an actionable pursuit plan. Build a qualified pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting, referrals, events, ecosystem partners, existing Schneider Electric relationships, and account-based campaigns. Drive RA+ business development by identifying clients’ challenges; positioning the platform as part of an integrated advisory-and-digital transformation journey. Lead digital discovery and solution demonstrations, translate client use cases into clear functional requirements, and collaborate with solution consultants and product specialists on compelling RA+ configurations and proposals. Win new logos and expand strategic accounts by identifying client pain points, creating demand, qualifying opportunities, and mapping needs to the appropriate Sustainability Business solutions, including RA+ and related digital offers. Lead the full sales cycle from first contact and discovery through opportunity qualification, solution shaping, proposal, commercial negotiation, contracting, and handover to delivery. Develop compelling value propositions and business cases that connect sustainability outcomes with cost, resilience, compliance, risk management, data transparency, AI-enabled decision support, and enterprise transformation priorities. Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, opportunity documentation, pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, next-step discipline, and timely reporting; use digital sales tools and AI-assisted insights responsibly to improve account planning, prioritization, and pursuit effectiveness. Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams across advisory, digital, energy, renewable procurement, delivery, legal, finance, marketing, and global or regional Sustainability Business teams. Lead or support client workshops, presentations, industry roundtables, proposals, tenders, and thought-leadership activities in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Stay current on market developments and client demand related to climate transition, carbon accounting, ESG disclosure, supply-chain decarbonization, renewable energy, resource efficiency, sustainability data management, AI adoption, data governance, and digital transformation. Ensure opportunities are pursued with appropriate commercial, delivery, legal, ethical, and risk controls; provide a clear and complete handover after contract signature. What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business, engineering, sustainability, environmental management, energy, finance, or a related field. 7+ years of business development, enterprise sales, or consultative solution-selling experience, including meaningful exposure to sustainability, energy, ESG, digital platforms, SaaS, data or professional services. Demonstrated success originating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities and developing new client relationships rather than relying only on inherited accounts. Experience managing a territory, named-account portfolio, or sector-based growth plan, with clear ownership of pipeline, forecast, and commercial outcomes. Ability to lead structured business and digital discovery, understand sustainability, data, reporting, workflow, and integration pain points, and convert them into differentiated solutions and measurable value propositions. Confidence communicating with executives and navigating long sales cycles, ambiguity, multiple decision-makers, procurement processes, and commercial negotiations. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, proposal-development, and stakeholder-management skills. Digital fluency and confidence using AI productivity tools, CRM, social-selling platforms, virtual demonstration tools, and data-driven account insights to improve business-development effectiveness. Ability to explain AI-enabled sustainability use cases in business language, distinguish practical value from hype, and engage client stakeholders on data quality, governance, security, adoption, and change-management considerations. Professional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese. Cantonese is highly advantageous for the Hong Kong market. Willingness to travel regularly within Hong Kong and Taiwan. What's in it for me?
