The posting

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion food ingredients for practical lessons.
  • Assist with ingredient orders, deliveries and stock checks.
  • Verify deliveries and ensure proper food storage and stock rotation.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and supplies, and report defects.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and safety of kitchen facilities.
  • Provide basic administrative support for teaching activities.
  • Perform routine and deep cleaning as assigned.
  • Carry out other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a school or commercial kitchen.
  • Knowledge of food handling, kitchen safety and hygiene.
  • Relevant food safety certification preferred.
  • Good organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • Able to work well in a dynamic environment and as part of a team.
  • PSLE pass preferred.

Duration/Working Hours:

1 year contract duration - opt to extend 1 year (Jan 2027 to Dec 2027)

10 month service (Jan 2027 to Oct 2027)

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break
  • Fridays: 7:00am to 3.30pm, inclusive of 30min lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. However, depending on school's requirements, there may be days where the Personnel is requested to extend working hours. In such circumstances, Personnel will be granted time-off in lieu.
