The posting

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare lesson materials, teaching aids and experimental setups for daily Science activities.
  • Maintain Science laboratories, including cleanliness, safety, displays and proper storage of materials.
  • Monitor and update inventory records, including checking, replacing and recording damaged or expired materials.
  • Support teachers during Science activities, recess programmes and performance tasks.
  • Provide front-line customer service for walk-in visitors and phone enquiries.
  • Provide general administrative support including contacting parents, printing, scanning, photocopying, filing and simple data entry.
  • Assist with student-related matters such as students who are unwell, late arrivals and early dismissals.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum GCE O-Level or equivalent.
  • Able to prepare and set up Science activities and experiments.
  • Able to manage laboratory supplies and maintain inventory records.
  • Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform general administrative and simple data entry tasks.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in school laboratory operations.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in front-line or office administration within a school environment.

Duration/Working Hours:

1 year - subj to extension of 1 year (Jan 2027 to Dec 2027)

Day Working hours (including 45-minutes lunch break)

Mon 7.30 am to 2.30 pm Tue 7.30 am to 2.30 pm Wed 7.30 am to 3.00 pm Thu 7.30 am to 2.30 pm Fri 7.30 am to 2.30 pm

Total working hours per week (excluding daily lunch break) – 31.75 hours

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. Personnel is not required to work during the school holidays; March, June, September and December.

The contract period is 12 months from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. However, the actual deployment period is 11 months (per year) as no service is required during December.

Charges for March, June, September will be pro-rated based on actual deployment period. No service is required in December and no charges shall be payable for that month.
