The posting

The successful candidate will lead a non-audit accounting and reporting advisory practice, advising finance teams on complex accounting, conversions and transaction reporting, and developing the service line and its referral relationships. Specific qualifications, regulatory fluency and technical breadth are detailed in the sections that follow.

With your authorisation we will exclusively run the entire application and recruitment process for you, keeping you apprised at every step. With over 30 years' combined experience of helping the most talented accounting, audit, tax and advisory professionals to make safe, well-judged moves into rewarding new roles, we have the experience, network and ability to help you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead accounting and reporting advisory engagements, advising finance functions on complex SFRS(I) recognition, measurement and disclosure matters.
  • Direct GAAP conversion and first-time adoption projects, including transitions to SFRS(I) and IFRS-aligned reporting.
  • Advise on the accounting consequences of transactions, including business combinations, group reorganisations and financial instruments.
  • Support clients on new and amended standards, preparing technical position papers and accounting manuals.
  • Provide accounting input to listing and fundraising processes, working alongside reporting accountants and audit teams while remaining independent of the audit.
  • Build and lead the advisory team, setting technical standards and reviewing deliverables.
  • Grow the service line through proposals, thought leadership and referral relationships.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant of Singapore, CA (Singapore), or holder of an equivalent recognised qualification such as ACCA or ICAEW.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in financial reporting, technical accounting or accounting advisory.
  • Deep working knowledge of SFRS(I) and the underlying IFRS framework, including recent and forthcoming standards.
  • Demonstrable experience leading GAAP conversions or first-time adoption projects.
  • Strong understanding of the accounting for business combinations, consolidations and financial instruments.
  • Ability to translate technical conclusions into clear, defensible written advice for finance teams and audit committees.
  • Awareness of SGX reporting obligations and the interaction between accounting advice and statutory audit independence.
  • Experience leading and developing technical or advisory teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • A record of developing client relationships and winning advisory work.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in a national technical or accounting advisory function within a mid-tier or larger firm.
  • Exposure to cross-border group reporting and multi-GAAP environments.
  • Sector depth in real estate, financial services, technology or industrials.
  • Familiarity with IRAS interactions where accounting and tax outcomes intersect.
  • Experience supporting transactions and capital markets processes from an accounting advisory standpoint.
  • An established referral network among lawyers, bankers and corporate advisers in Singapore.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
