The posting

Second Foundation is an international energy trading and asset management firm headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, with offices in Switzerland, Germany, Japan and the US. Our team of 500 plus professionals specializes in power trading, transforming complex data into market-leading trading strategies through advanced technology and sophisticated quantitative modelling.

We are looking for a curious and structured Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our team in Prague, supporting our direct marketing and flexibility portfolio and helping us connect renewable generation and flexible energy assets to electricity markets. You will work with customers and internal teams to onboard assets, monitor their operation, resolve performance issues, and keep asset data accurate. You will also help us improve and automate the processes behind this work

What would you work on?

  • Support asset onboarding and monitoring: Coordinate onboarding requirements, collect and validate technical information, and monitor asset availability, connectivity and operational performance.
  • Follow through on issues: Work with customers and internal teams to investigate issues affecting asset performance. Track actions and responsibilities, keep stakeholders informed, and follow up until resolution.
  • Co-own asset data: Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in our asset management system together with the relevant teams.
  • Cooperate on market communication: Handle asset-related market communication with authorities (DSOs, TSOs), track deadlines and responses, and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies with relevant market participants and internal colleagues.
  • Improve and automate processes: Identify recurring tasks and sources of error, contribute to better workflows and documentation, and cooperate on automation using data, software and AI tools.

What makes you a great candidate?

  • A university degree in a STEM discipline, such as engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.
  • An interest in the energy industry and a willingness to learn how renewable generation, flexibility and electricity markets work.
  • Curiosity and an open mind: you enjoy understanding how systems work, investigating discrepancies, asking useful questions, and exploring new approaches.
  • A structured approach, attention to detail and the ability to manage several open topics through to completion.
  • Numerical literacy: you are comfortable with basic calculations and checking whether results make sense, and ready to develop an understanding of balancing costs, profit and loss (PnL) and their relationship to asset performance as you gain experience
  • Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
  • Basic computer programming and data skills, particularly Python and SQL, and proficiency with standard office software.
  • An affinity for AI tools and an interest in applying them to everyday work, analysis and process automation, with a critical eye for the quality of their outputs.
  • Previous exposure to technical topics such as power plant connections, metering, SCADA, or remote control is a plus.
  • Previous experience with electricity market communication, including MPES, GPKE, MaBiS or EDIFACT, is a plus.

What do we offer?

  • Brand new office in the city center – Masaryčka.
  • Competitive salary package with the possibility of a yearly bonus.
  • 25 days of paid holiday.
  • Flexible working hours and home-office options.
  • High-end workstation.
  • Sponsored lunch in the office- every workday.
  • Multisport Card fully paid by the company.
  • Free snacks at the office.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
