The posting

Description:

Seeq builds advanced analytics software that unlocks insights from industrial process data—empowering companies in sectors like pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, chemicals, and power generation to optimize operations and drive business value.

As a remote-first company since our founding, we’re built for collaboration across time zones. Our engineering and customer-facing teams thrive in a supportive, agile environment that emphasizes curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement.

Analytics Engineers at Seeq serve as trusted technical advisors to our customers, helping them solve complex process challenges and maximize value from our software. You’ll work directly with end users to design scalable, high-impact analytics solutions that drive engagement, adoption, and tangible business outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

As a key customer-facing team member, you will participate in the following activities:

Senior Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery for complex, multi-phase, or significantly customized customer engagements, translating ambiguous business requirements into scalable analytics architectures.
  • Mentor and review the work of less-experienced Analytics Engineers and shape reusable patterns, templates, and tooling.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical, integration, and solution-design challenges, driving issues to resolution in partnership with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.

Customer Technical Adoption

  • Serve as the customer’s trusted technical advisor by building relationships with champions and end-users through solution design, implementation guidance, and technical mentorship.
  • Leverage customer relationships to perform constant discovery and uncover high-value, high-impact use case opportunities directly linked to the customer’s critical business workflows and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the customer and account team to develop and execute strategic plans for adoption of Seeq and completion of key use cases addressing business objectives.
  • Advise customer champions and end-users to implement and operationalize the use cases to deliver a high return on investment for the customer. Occasionally may require hands-on delivery to accelerate a customer’s high value use case.
  • Upskill Seeq’s partner ecosystem to be an extension of the Analytics Engineering team to provide support globally and in localized languages.

Product Expertise

  • Be a product expert, maintaining knowledge of how to implement and troubleshoot solutions in the platform, including integrations with other systems.
  • Identify gaps in Seeq's capabilities required to meet customer needs and give feedback to the product organization to influence the product roadmap.
  • Ability to assess and position Seeq’s benefits relative to competitive products in the marketplace or in the customer’s ecosystem.
  • Work with the product team to design, implement, and test new functionalities that meet customer needs.

Industry Expertise

  • We are seeking candidates who have experience in one, or more, of the following industries:
  • Power Generation/Transmission
  • Pharma/Life Sciences
  • Semiconductor
  • Build trust with customers through the application of industry-specific knowledge and awareness, including market and use case trends specific to their area.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including industry principals, product marketing, and solution consulting) to influence industry-specific strategy.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical field such as chemical, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; degrees in operations research, data analytics, or applied math will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, reliability engineering, technical pre-sales engineering (SaaS business, OT space preferred), or other related industry fields.
  • Deep technical expertise in one or more industrial process manufacturing verticals and a sound understanding of broad market drivers and business priorities.
  • Examples of industrial process industries are oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power & utilities, metals & mining, food & beverage, pulp & paper, etc.
  • Empathy with and experience in the difficulties involved in trying to solve real-world business and industrial challenges involving dense time-series process data with inadequate or overly complex analytics tools, such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, BI tools, or otherwise.
  • Responsive and adept at building trust and rapport with customers, prospective customers, partners, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective and influential technical communicator. Enjoys dissecting, articulating, and translating a combination of customer-stated and customer-implied needs. Able to communicate with subject matter experts, managers, directors, and C-level audiences.
  • Creative ability to develop and propose technical solutions leveraging the latest features and capabilities in the software and broader technology landscape. Programming experience in Python and/or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work based on account team strategy, customer business needs, and Seeq company objectives.
  • Prior experience using Seeq is highly preferred.
  • Python programming skills is a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of the SaaS industrial analytics ecosystem is a plus (e.g., Azure, AWS, Databricks, AVEVA, Aspen Tech, IOTA, Cognite, C3.ai, Palantir, etc.).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
