Job Description 

Select’s EHS Manager develops, implements, and manages programs meant to protect employee health and safety, or promote environmental compliance.   The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

Oversees development of policies and programs meant to mitigate organizational impact on the environment or protect employees from health and safety risks found in the organization. Establishes guidelines governing the collection and maintenance of employee training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation. Audits facilities or processes to identify weaknesses or risks and proactively develops and implements corrective actions; ensures appropriate investigation of and response to accidents or injuries. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, or local statutes or regulations including OSHA. Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices. Must meet the requirements to obtain Safeland instructor status. Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.

6+ years of related work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Leadership skills. Ability to foster teamwork. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills. Technical expertise.

  Physical Demands and Exposures The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.

Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected. Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection. Prolonged sitting, standing, walking. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs.
